Thoughts on Hunter-Killer Volume 1
Im gonna be straight forward with this one.
Presentation: 9/10 - More then likely this is the reason why i grabbed it, though its bounded in a soft cover, i know im more of a hard-cover freak, this still managed to catch my eye. On the cover we see, Wolf, Ellis, Morningstar and Samantha Argent. Now, the only character i recognized was Sam Argent, that's mainly because shes featured on the cover of Fusion #1 that came out last year. She's always been a character that interested me, i just never really knew where to find her. So i was pretty happy to find this. Its packed with all 12 issues of season 1, cover gallery, script-book and sketch book. This thing is fully loaded.
Story Pacing: 9/10 - All i can say is that it was pretty damn good. It gives you enough story to keep you pushing on, match that with some nice art and you got a one hell of a good read. Rarely did i find a spot where it slowed down. Of course the first couple of issues will seem slow, mainly due to my ignorance of most of the featured characters. Im not one to give out any plot points so ill leave it at that.
Artwork: 10/10 Marc Silvestri on the first 6 issues, Eric Basaldua stepping in for issue 7 & 8, Kenneth Rocafort to finish off the season...nuff said! Especially with Kenneth Rocafort, i think i found my next new favorite artist. Blew me away.
Writing: Ah yes, the story what is all this about? Well, in my opinion its pretty deep, quickie of the story is that its about a group of people that hunt down super-humans that go rogue.
I say go buy it to find out more. =P
Final Thoughts: Its a damn good read and i say go check it out. I know ill prolly read it again. =]
